Hi, I’m Lissie Albornoz—artist, advocate, and proud mom of two. I’m a Venezuelan attorney and a soon-to-be graduate of the University of Miami School of Law, where I’m earning a joint J.D./LL.M. degree in U.S. and Transnational Law. My journey has taken me from family courts in Caracas to human rights advocacy in Washington, D.C.—and I’ve brought my purpose, resilience, and passion every step of the way.
Recent Roles and Projects
Past Experience
My legal experience spans family law, immigration, insurance defense, and personal injury—both in Venezuela and the U.S. I’ve conducted legal research, drafted litigation plans, managed complex case files, and volunteered with causes close to my heart. Every step has shaped my purpose: to use the law as a tool for justice and transformation.
My mother called me “Wonder Woman” long before I believed it myself. Today, I wear that name with pride—not because I do it all perfectly, but because I never gave up. I believe every woman has a Wonder Woman within her, ready to rise with courage, compassion, and clarity of purpose.
Whether you’re here as a fellow advocate, a student, an immigrant, or simply curious, welcome. I invite you to explore my blog and join me on this journey of law, learning, and becoming.
