Hello! I'm Lissie Albornoz, an immigrant, law student, and community enthusiast. Originally from Venezuela, where I have been practicing law since 2006, my journey has been shaped by diverse experiences and the incredible people I've met along the way. With a strong commitment to making a difference, I'm pursuing my LLM and JD degrees to contribute meaningfully to the field of law. I believe in the power of community and the impact one person can make. Join me as I continue to learn, grow, and give back.
My Experience
Throughout my career, I've gained extensive experience in various legal areas, including family law, immigration, insurance defense, and personal injury. My background includes over 15 years of legal experience in Venezuela; and in the U.S. conducting legal research, drafting litigation plans, managing case files, and volunteering for impactful organizations. I have also been actively involved in academic pursuits, working towards my Juris Doctor and LL.M. degrees at the University of Miami School of Law. My diverse legal background has equipped me with the skills and knowledge to contribute meaningfully to the legal field and my community
